Saturday, January 13, 2024
UPDATE: Philip Brady has told the Melbourne Observer that he is due to be discharged from hospital on Tuesday, January 30.
Veteran radio man Philip Brady, 84, is in hospital awaiting hip replacement surgery after an incident with his dogo Oro.
Brady, co-host of the Sunday night ‘Remember When’ program, was with his pet “but in returning to the house Oro got a little excited which resulted in poor Philip taking a tumble on the driveway”, said a 3AW representative.
“One broken hip later, Philip is now awaiting surgery to have the hip replaced. He is in good spirits but very disappointed that he won’t be in on Sunday night for the show.
“He just joked that he is in a private VIP suite with three doctors which he says “is more than the pope”.”
