More land Council says it supports support the call for a new date for a national day.

“We want to celebrate our great country on a day that is inclusive of everyone,” said a Council statement.

“Currently Australia Day does not celebrate the full breath of our history, and is a painful reminder to Aboriginal people about the trauma and loss placed on their people,” the statement said.
