Rubbish collection services have returned to normal in the City of Knox. The Council’s service was interrupted over the weekend due to COVID-19.

“Our waste collection contractors are currently experiencing delays with bin collections due to the growing impacts of Covid-19,” said a Knox Council representative.

“As a result, we will be prioritising household rubbish collection today ahead of recycling and green waste. Bin collections may be delayed by up to 24 hours and will continue to be collected through to Saturday,” said the statement issued on January 14.

“If your bin has been missed, please leave your bin out until it has been collected. To assist our team, please only contact us about a missed bin collection if it has been more than 24 hours from your normal collection day. You can report a missed bin collection online or call us on 9298 8000,” the Council said.
