Moonee Valley Council annually holds the Bunjil’s Marroun Healing Ceremony on January 26 and invite community members to learn about and experience what the day means to Traditional Owners.

The Mayor, Councilors, local MPs and Ambassador Deepak Vinayak have been invited to pay their respects and hear from local elders and their families.

There will also be a performance by the Nhanbu Togip dance group.

Local people are invited to join in the day. ring a picnic rug and umbrella if it’s sunny to Woodlands Park, Essendon at 5pm on Wednesday, January 26.

“We also look forward to welcoming people of all different cultures at our annual Citizenship Ceremony. This is a momentous day for many people and a chance for us to embrace the diversity new citizens bring to our community,” said a Council representative.
