Recipients of Australia Day Honours in Melbourne’s north-west suburbs have been announced:


Honorary Member (AM) in the General
Division of the Order of Australia

• The Honourable Bronwyn Jane PIKE, North Melbourne VIC 3051. For significant service to social welfare and not-for-profit organisations, and to the Parliament of Victoria.
• Professor Colin Frederick ROBERTSON, Princes Hill Vic 3054. For significant service to medicine, to research, and to professional organisations.
• Professor Elsdon STOREY, Carlton North VIC 3054. For significant service to medicine in the field of neurology, and to professional associations.

Honorary Member (AO) in the General
Division of the Order of Australia

• Dr Tom BEER, Brunswick VIC 3056. For distinguished service to science, particularly environmental risk, climate processes and sustainability, through research organisations.

Medal (OAM) in the General Division
of the Order of Australia

• Dr Faye BENDRUPS, Ascot Vale VIC 3032. For service to the performing arts, particularly through music.
• Mr Anthony BOYCE, Brunswick VIC 3056. For service to Australian rules football.
• Mr Anthony Ian DODEMAIDE, Williamstown VIC 3016. For service to sports administration, and to cricket.
• Mrs Carol MATTHEWS, Bruns-wick VIC 3056. For service to community mental health.
• Mr Desmond O’KEEFFE, Ascot Vale VIC 3032. For service to horse racing.
